So it took ActiVision 2+ years to come out with the second release of Modern Warfare and I think they missed the boat on 3 MAJOR things.  Not that it really matters because at 59 bucks a pop and over 3 million copies sold, it doesn’t really matter.

3) All the "NEW" icons. In this version of COD you can get Titles and Emblems. Basically banners and insignia’s on your  name so when you sneak up and knife someone (that sounds so gruesome) it shows some crazy saying like in my case “Get to the Choppa” along with an icon.   Well you get icons and titles for basically every single thing you can do in the game. So you’re constantly getting these “New” icons on your screen.

The only way to clear out these notices is to physically go into that category and click on it to clear. Think of getting a new email in outlook and needing to go click on it, and then click off of it to clear the “new” alert you have. It’s the same thing, and being from a world of email, it’s a mental tick to have that icon always in my face.

Seriously guys, make these alerts time out or don’t do so many stupid little add on’s to the game. Focus on better game play, these are worthless.

Here's an example of a screen with only 1 "New" icon on it. Imagine all of them having it and under each category you could have 10-15 of them in various places that you have to go to individually to clear the icon.

2) Super Shotguns.  For the most part the game is pretty realistic. Minus some more realistic facial expressions I can’t see it getting much more real unless you are implanted into the game mentally (coming soon I’m sure). But in real life, a shot gun at 175 yards can’t even penetrate a soft supple water fowl (not that I would really know).  How can it possibly kill me….on the run…. With buck shot…….from a shot gun made in the 1900’s.

Seriously, guys all you have to do is be aiming in a general area from 2 blocks away and you get the kills. It’s crazy! Make this more realistic cause it’s taking over the game play and making it miserable.

1)  No Co-operative Online Campaign mode.  “Halo did it” the only part of Halo I actually liked to play (before I quickly got rid of the game) was to play through the story line with a friend online. Getting the challenges and playing the game in a harder mode in order to gain points.

Yes we get the Special Operations section of COD MW2, and yes it’s awesome but I still want to be able to play through the story line with a friend and take out those computer generated terrorists together.

It’s very frustrating.

All that said, I love the game, now if I could only rank up as fast as I did in COD MW1.

Ok that’s enough ranting… So um ActiVision.. go ahead and get on those changes, this is literally the ONLY video game I play… I’ll wait… (but hurry up)
